Just read Simon Stone on the BBC website. He reckons Evan is in the frame to play against Crawley. Make of that what you will.
Pervis is the one player we're really missing at the moment. I'd love Evan, Solly and Bart back too, but we do have decent options in their positions.

What I make of that is he is behind Welbeck (and arguably Pedro (even though Pedro is now playing a deeper role and therefore not entirely comparable) so why would you not play him against lower League opposition?

Before we loaned Buonanotte and Barco, I would have said no way.
But there's no doubt that talent though Evan is, Danny and Jao are the proven 'real deal'. I think we may have to get used to seeing incredible Albion talents getting loaned out to the top divisions in order to make our starting squad next season. I'm struggling with it too

But Welbz is injury prone, it's a hell of a risk to go into a season with three strikers when one is 33 and has a long history of injuries while Rutter is new to the PL. That just leaves Pedro, who plays slightly deeper. I can understand Barco and Buonanotte going on loan, as there's plenty of cover there but Ferguson would leave me shaking my head

Welbz hasn't been injury prone since that op sorted out his hamstring about 3 years ago (although prior to that he was, which is why he was such a bargain). Pedro, Rutter, Enciso can all play that striker role, albeit in different ways. (And I get the impression that we just throw four really fast, skillful players at them and see what happens

I thought Bart had a “minor” injury after the Euros? Obviously not so minor, has there been any news of what the problem is?

Can't see the club selling him now for a second. He lost two thirds of last season to injury or illness, and is working his way back, but before he got the injury, would have had every top club in Europe casting their eye over him, and also Chelsea. His value now will be lower than it was last September because of the short term drop off- big clubs might offer £40m, £50m if we're lucky. If he gets his fitness and form back, he'll be worth double that, as a young, talented striker at this level. Goalscorers attract a premium.

They said it was a problem he had before he went to the Euros, but played through it, so now it's been about getting it quickly fixed.
He was in the training photos last week. Must be very close.

Absolutely no way we would loan him out, if fit and firing he’s close to starting. We have a generational talent, hopefully he regains his fitness and confidence and he will be soon banging them in for us. A loan makes no sense at all.
From memory, he took Welbeck’s 1st choice No.9 position from him under RDZ, he can do it again under Hürzeler.

I'd rather he stays completely out of the picture until the window closes,even Chelsea can't be that dumb and buy a player who hasn't kicked a ball in anger since last March.
A fully fit Ferguson gives us another type of option in games that aren't going well,I think and hope he will become a very important player at the club once he gets back to full fitness.
He's a ready made finisher for the wingers to find with the extra crosses that are coming in,this lad is special and would be hard and expensive to replace like for like.
