£150m and he's yours Chelsea.

Actually that's a bit on the cheap side isn't it. How does £200m sound?

Not much sillier than the real one, tbf
It wouldn't surprise me if the REAL agent-botherer is behind it and decided to set up a fake account of himself just get off on the fact that people think it's him, but he's just making (more) shit up.

He will get his big move - ideally career-wise when he's 21 or 22, having honed his trade with us. That would be the common sense route for him (and good for us too) - will common sense for once over-ride the £10M a year (£200K a week) NOW option?
I hope so - but sadly I'm not going to indulge in any serious holding of breath.

Obvious bollox but imagine if it did happen now or in the summer. That would be the end of his career. Find himself playing for Leyton Orient by 2027...
Sadly, Leyton Orient couldn't afford him. Chelsea couldn't sell him, because no-one else would be foolish enough to match the wages. He'd just go to seed, not playing much, and planning how to spend £50M over the next few years.

I’m confused - is Evan really good and of course top clubs might be interested (not really news) or not?

Angry Alan from the Roar has his knickers in a twist over it, but it isn’t news any top team would like to sign Evan is it ?

For £150m I think the club would do business.
However if they spent £150m on him NOW then they are not getting the finished article, nowhere near IMO, and the inevitable storm when he doesn’t score back to back hat-tricks in his first 3 games that would follow from their ridiculous, entitled fan base would be huge. Evan has huge potential, but he’s not world class, yet.
I would be against this purely because I don’t think it would help his career in the slightest, quite the reverse. Stay here for another 2 seasons at least then go to City.

For £150m you THINK we would do business?!

Tony will have lost his marbles if he DIDN'T do business at that level. If £100m was offered we'd have to take it. He's nowhere near that level of player yet.

lol this is like the 60m Aaron Connolly was valued at on here

Of course they would. Hes not worth anything like that ridiculous amount of money.

Agree he might be worth that one day but that's at least 2 years away.
Yes, there is speculation and there is speculation. This is pure speculation! I know clubs may dangle hugely lucrative contracts in front of him (and with suitable inducements to his agent!) but 21 or 22 would be the ideal age for him to get that mega-move.

I wonder if they've reached the same conclusion on the other Evan Ferguson thread that was started today?
