I feel like there's something that can be done with Father and Son/Ferguson or any number of songs with Heaven in the title, but I'm too sleepy to actually work out what.

Absolutely shouldn’t be starting every game…….needs load managed at his age……club are doing a great job at the moment.
Completely agree. He's doing very well at the moment, but there will come a point where he has a bad run and it's important that there isn't too much pressure on him.

Being new on the scene, defenders don't have much footage or data on him, but that will change. It's important for us to have Welbeck and Ferguson interchangeable.

He’s one seriously promising young player. He has so many qualities but the one I most rate is his football brain - that is seemingly a pre-requisite to get into an RDZ team - but for one so young, that is hugely impressive. V happy for him and Welbz to share duties this season but, to be fair, young Ev doesn’t look like he needs protecting physically…he’d probably make a brilliant cruiser weight.

He really reminds me of Murray. I think he could be what we have been looking for! Great player. Early days yet of course. Great limbs today for his goal.
I agree. His finishing, strength and positioning is Murray-like. However, I think he has more of an all round game. I’d suggest that he is faster than Murray ever was when he played for us and as for that assist to March against Liverpool, I’m not sure Muzza had too many of those.

Murray was a lower level EPL striker, Ferguson can develop into a top Six EPL striker.

Bit early to say that. Murray had a lot of qualities, other than pace.

Otherwise agree.

What a talent!

I think Ferguson is probably as good as Murray was already to be honest.

Might not look like it but at 18 he’s not physiologically fully developed so overall load needs careful management. The club’s army of S&C coaches, nutritionists and analysts are in a better place to determine when he starts than some bloke off Twitter

Speaking of Connolly I saw some of his match last night. He played alright I thought. At the end he seemed to have the respect of his peers, several getting round and chatting to him in a friendly way.

Be interesting to see what Bob deZ makes of him because we know he likes a worker. Say what you like about Connolly he is a grafter.
That's good to hear, I hope he does well. I'm not sure he was a grafter in training was he? If he was, what exactly went wrong (I know about his off field antics, but if he was training well why would they matter)?

Mark my words - we are going to be fending off £75m+ offers for this guy before he’s 21.
All the while we are only playing 1 game a week he should be starting.
The Guardian printed some nice words about him today and rate him, that’s an extra 5-10m on his fee.

I don’t know tbf. I always thought he put a shift in when on the pitch but prepared to be corrected. We’ll see.

De Z doing right thing by not starting him every game. He was also involved in build up to his goal, stuck his head in to win ball back and feed Estupinian before getting into the box. Good stuff!

Goal!
Always believe it's a goal,
You've got the power to know,
You're Evan Ferguson,
Always believe in
Goal!
I presume this is an existing song for some strikers, although I can't remember hearing it?

Scoring f’cking great goals
Evan Ferguson

Although, I suspect the unimaginative

Der, der, der, der, der, der Evan Ferguson

will be the chant that sticks.
