Fergs is shaping up nicely. If he can stay serious injury free he has one hell of a future.

On the pitch, his maturity is as impressive as his no 9 abilities. He will be wanted by big clubs before long.

I imagine there is probably some substance in this.
Nah surely they wouldn’t think like that. RDZ wouldn’t take any guidance like that. That’s madness imo.

Has to start ahead of Welbeck, surely? Welbeck just doesn’t look like scoring.

(Hattrick today please)

Here and There
I hope there’s a Palace fan out there called Fergus, whose son supports the Albion…

Even Fergus’s son supports Brighton, that’s how brilliant they are…

*Don’t worry, it’s too hot to bother getting my coat

Nobody seems to have asked Ferguson himself what he thinks. He opted for us rather than Liverpool when he first signed as he could see better development opportunities. I can't see him changing that philosophy just yet while he is still learning, so I expect him to be with us for 2 or 3 more seasons at least, regardless of what we are offered for him.

Madness to suggest any club would offer £200m for a teenager with a handful of PL games under his belt.
This is the point -

When Rodrygo went for a world record for a 18 year-old he already has 63 games for Santos - Ferguson played three games for Bohs and has played 22 for Brighton.

When Mbappe joined PSG he had played 41 games for Monaco and (technically) another 27 games for PSG (he joined on loan before the permanent transfer.

It is a sign of the reputation this kid is building for himself that numbers north of £100m are being thrown around.

I think @ConfusedGloryHunter is right when he says the question is 'do the club have to sell him?' - and at the moment the answer is no.

Maybe we are benching him until the window closes. Smart :)
This idea has crossed my mind recently. We don't want Evan scoring too many goals as that will alert the big clubs, just a few to keep his eye in until the window closes.

The 'big' clubs are well aware of Evan already, just as they are with all our players. RDZ is just managing the minutes of an 18 year old lad who's on the brink of becoming a top top striker. We made a right hash of the expectations we lumped on Connolly's shoulders, I doubt we'll do the same with Ferguson.

Welbeck has missed some chances but also played well for me. Good link up play. It’s a great dilemma.

And there’s no chance Fergusson is leaving so can we save the months of worrying about him and Mitoma for next Summer or at the very least January please 🤣👍
