In this case he was given a yellow. Even though it should have been red.

Andy Robertson on Ali MacI'm sure there was another challenge soon after that was borderline red too, could be mistaken but was it Henderson?
Why would there be a report made in the early morning?Latest report is that the injury is not to serious
It was. He was also not running in a line conducive to getting to the ball first, he veers to the right away from the ball to foul Mac. Blatant yellow (2nd) or arguably even a straight red if you could argue Mac had a goals scoring chance. It seemed pretty obvious that Klopp had sent them out to get stuck in.
Clearly didn't want a repeat of the league match.
Lots of overly physical challengers and quite a few got away from them.
Ref was appalling all game.
I was outraged by Konate's challenge on Mac Allister, seemed to be a forearm smash to the back of the neck.
Haven't seen it back yet.
That's the 1 thanks for showing
By this point Robertson was probably confident that he could get away with anything. Can't believe I'm still angry following a win against Liverpool.

It actually led to the free kick we scored from so I guess some justice was servedThat's the 1 thanks for showing
Undav needs a similar precaution.Hopefully just a precaution to keep the weight off.

In hindsight, I’m pleased Konate wasn’t shown a red. Against 10 men they may have parked the bus and we’d be in replay territory. Who knows, but at least with 11 it kept it open and more to our advantage. It was.

I don’t want to stick up for Liverpool but they don’t normally seem to be like this under Klipperty. However, after the schooling they get two weeks ago, there must be an awful lot of frustration and jealousy about how good our players and systems are. Cheating and fouling was one of the few options left to them in order to affect the game.
He didn’t look sorry he looked guilty as feck.I'm still furious about that 'challenge'. It was an absolute disgrace. Anyone that's played the game knows he was only going to do one thing when he lunged like that and that was cause an injury. Rightly Fabinho looked sorry afterwards the twat, it was a disgusting thing to do to a fellow professional, he needs a ban.
And as for the referee/VAR?! Joke. Pathetic amateurs.
That's what I saw. He knew it was a sending off as soon as he had done it and said as much to his teammates. He couldn't believe when VAR didn't overruleHe didn’t look sorry he looked guilty as feck.
As he knew he was going to be sent off!!
And then was half smiling, and disbelieving as he hadn’t been sent off
Astounding incompetence by the ref and especially by VAR
I only think he was sorry that he was going to get a red. Didn't see any attempt to check on his wellbeingI'm still furious about that 'challenge'. It was an absolute disgrace.
