Or because he was slightly unlikely to play a key role for Brighton this seasonHad wondered if Connolly going back out straight away was simply as they didn’t want him around our youngsters

Because of his previous, sureOr because he was slightly unlikely to play a key role for Brighton this season
Yup. This is the key. Ultimately you need an outstanding physical attribute to be a top level striker unless you are at Messi levels. Connolly always looked light weight. That was always going to be a problem way before his head went.Yeah but one of them is a 6ft bull that gets stuck in and the other 5ft 8 and easily pushed around.
The expectations for a forward here is pretty relaxed though. He’s already got 2, so he can go 10 games without scoring and still be in credit!Poor lad. Expectations are up now!
He could go 10 seasons without a goal and he'd still be about par for an Albion Premier League-era striker. The expectations for a forward here is pretty relaxed though. He’s already got 2, so he can go 10 games without scoring and still be in credit!
Er…….with one exception. He could go 10 seasons without a goal and he'd still be about par for an Albion Premier League-era striker.
My cocker spaniel is more sensible than ConnollyHe strikes me as more sensible and professional than Connolly.
More like Erling is the Norwegian Ferguson. The Irish Haarland - he is going to be great and there is a club and team around him that will stop him going #shooshconnolly
I like that stat. But did Owen get booked - if not - our lad's the first for the triple! We don’t need to sign a striker now. Would actually be interesting to see him play upfront with connolly
Total unit. Just look at the guy. He looks like a 30 year old back row forward. We don’t need to sign a striker now. Would actually be interesting to see him play upfront with connolly
Reminds me of kane. And kane wasn't any good until he was about 20.More like Erling is the Norwegian Ferguson.
There was one moment he took a page straight out of the Glenn Murray playbook. Backing into a central defender, holds the ball up and then waits for the touch from the defender and crumples to the ground to win the free kick. Classic Murray shithousery.
Yeah but with modern cap rules, he can still opt out and go for England... would like to see for simply JRG reasonsReminds me of kane. And kane wasn't any good until he was about 20.
Ireland very clever to cap him already
