He doesn't fit the way we play as we speak but he is NOT someone I would want rid of either. I still think he will go on to be a superstar... I hope it will be with us.

Any fair terms can be included/negotiated into a contract if both parties agree.

It‘s called negotiation…
No it’s NOT allowed

6.6.3 of the FA Standardised Rules: Long Term loans can only be terminated within a transfer window (paraphrased)
define ‘long term’ 😀

The way round it might be short term loans (4-6 weeks) then assessing our injury situation before agreeing to another short term loan. I don’t think there is any limit to how often you can loan a player to the same club?

I’m not saying we could negotiate something like that, just that a loan without any option like that for the entire rest of the season, would be a risk if both Welbeck and Pedro are injured.

That said, I stick by what I said on Sunday, West Ham might be a very good option now a space has opened up at the front because of Antonio’s injury.

Not allowed short term loans

We currently have an investment development player that if he were on form could get £90+ on the transfer market. Currently we’d be lucky to get half that.
Ouch. I mean, yes, he’s had a dip in form and confidence for sure, but fifty quid is insulting.

Whatever.

What do you think of my suggestion for West Ham?

That was the point of my recent posts.
You appear upset with my responses, only giving the facts in a concise one sentence reply.

Obviously a typo.☹️

What about a loan to WHU (or any other EPL team) (in the absence of any ability to call him back?)

Do people think that would help?

No, just asking what your reaction is to the idea of him going to WHU in January?

No idea why you think I am upset 😂

WHU seem very keen according to the rumour sauces

Not sure. He is a static shadow of his former self. Why is that? Not a clue. He really lacks effort. That's not down to confidence, that's what's going on in his head. He is never going to score if he doesn't move, and he doesn't. He no longer tackles, chases down. He doesn't bully defenders like he did, he is a shell of the player that bounced onto the scene. If everyone who watches him live can see it from the stands, it makes you wonder what the likes of Murray/Zamora are seeing and saying to him.

If he is moved out on loan and it goes badly then what? No one is on his back at the Amex, at the Tax Payer's Stadium it can be toxic.

I do not want to see him playing for another premier league club this season … West Ham or anyone else. Bad enough the number of points Buanonotte has won for Leicester.

Celtic sounds the best option so far
Celtic would be a fantastic move given their Irish heritage and support. He’d get a hero’s welcome and would be able to bang in plenty of goals against the sides they come up against. May even pick up some silverware. What a confidence boost that would be.

Good point.

It’s a conundrum- young player, 20 yrs old, still developing and having what appears to be a significant wobble in his career.

What would be the less of two evils - a failed loan or risk not climbing out of what ever doldrums he seems to be stuck in at Brighton? Either would probably result in him being sold in the summer, which long term I think could be our loss.☹️

Zamora is spending extra time with the lad after training trying to help with his confidence. We need to give him time. Didn’t he have a lung infection or something?

Never confirmed or even surmised apart from on here.

As I posted Brighton fans have been giving him time (he's not being booed or any such thing) if he went away his exposure to less tolerant fans won't help.

Indeed - I was heartened to hear his chant sung on Sunday even if it was just the once.

I have no idea what his problem is but there is no excuse for looking lazy, mardy and disinterested, which he has done every time I’ve seen him this season, one excellent goal aside.

How do you define a "natural goal scorer ?"

No way would he get some hero's welcome. They have five strikers or something, score goals for fun and most likely have 0% interest in putting their own players on the bench or in the stands just to develop some 20-year-old Brighton player that they will never be able to afford buying if he is indeed a success.

There's very little in it for them. They aren't struggling, aren't lacking in numbers, won't be able to sign the player permanently. I have no doubt his quality would give him a bunch of goals in Scotland, but I just don't think Cetic are willing to run our errands when they don't need to.

The obvious Scottish loan club given recent developments is Hearts... But Evan might as well go out on loan to a Championship side in that case.
