some of the songs are so SHITE, dont get it, last year it was a bunch of rockers dressed as devils and monsters, and this year we have gone uber gay with trolley dollys, and they are battling it out with a ukrainian cross dresser and a bunch of cheesy euro pop.

I'm really looking forward to this, and haven't missed one for ages.

Last year's voting was THE most tactical of all-time and I don't think it can be surpassed. I'm wondering when the Western European nations will start to vote for each other and exclude the Eastern European nations.

Our song is catchy but is, if anything, TOO cheesy. It's the classic 2 boy, 2 girl, camp dancing, Euro-friendly lyrics-type of timeless song that would probably have won it 10 or 12 years ago, but todays Eurovision audience has more sophisticated taste, i.e. Jewish transsexuals, Norse Goth Monster rockers, belly dancers etc.

I predict we'll finish in that 6th - 10th band. Malta and Ireland will do us proud, but forget any votes coming from east of Belgium.

I think we will do considerably better than many people expect and predict our best finish for 10 years. William Hill are offering

14/1 - UK finish in top 4
10/1 - UK finish 5th-8th

I will back both but particularly like the 10/1 for 5th-8th place.

I agree with you US - 10/1 for 5th-8th is remarkably generous.

In the running order we are 19th out of 24. The poor old Irish are 4th, which is the worst of all draws because they are early and therefore will be forgotten AND the Finnish host song is right after them, so everybody will be anticipating that instead.

There is one fact that should make it clear why we have bugger all chance of winning - there are only 7 Western European nations in it!

Compare that to the former USSR, which has 8 - Belarus, Lithuania, Georgia, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, Armenia and Moldova.

Given the consistent tactical voting I'd say a cheeky double on Ukraine to win and UK 5th-8th is the call.

The big thing that our song has going for it is that it is catchy and uplifting. You only need to hear it once and you'll remember the chorus.

Given that half of the 24 songs are almost instantly forgettable this should make a top half finish fairly likely.

However, we are British, the rest of Europe only vote for us at a push and one of the blokes is a raving poofter - that won't go down well behind the Iron Curtain (especially when he comes out with his "Would you like some salty nuts?" line).

We might need the 2 girls to raise the hemline and come out with some louche Scooch moves...

The bookies are going nearly evens on us being in the bottom 4, I think they have got this book badly wrong.

The "get your hands around the bag...and blow" line is also a bit racy, and I have nothing against a bit of innuendo but there was no absolutely no need for the "cum in my mouth, captain" bit at the end.
