'Fascists stole Cliff Euro victory' - Yahoo! News UK

If this is indeed true and Cliff was robbed of victory in 1968 by the Spanish I for one will never ever have it in my heart to forgive them. I swear I will never set foot on Spanish soil again, drink San Miguel or eat in another Tapas bar as long as I live.
And if our government lets this go without some strongly worded missive I will be very disappointed in them.
How do you think Cliff is feeling now ? he must be devastated.

It's probably more like something Rick Pilchard made up himself because he can't accept that he didn't win.
I have never forgiven him for being shit.

How dare you. You`ll be telling me next that 'Devil Woman' isn`t the greatest single of all time.

Franco had a thing about voting. For some reason, he never trusted the process. Pushing Cliff Richard into second place wasn't the WORST of his crimes, though.

I'd put inviting the Nazis to bomb Guernica, destroying three quarters of the city and killing 1,654 of his own citizens, as a tad more serious an incident.

I imagine CLIFF would beg to DIFFER, Herr B.

Are you mad?? How can that be worse than depriving Sir Cliff his rightful place at the top of the Eurovision tree?

BTW, Devil Woman isn't fit to wipe the arse of wired for sound or Mistletoe & Wine (the only true Christmas song of the last 20 years.)

Whilst not redeeming the Generalissimo from his many hideous crimes this revelation illustrates that he was right at least once!

On reflection, with the possible exception of East 17.

The only good Xmas song (IMO), was released in 1987, so I suppose by default you'd be right with the 'last 20 years' thing.

His 1968 Eurovision Song Contest defeat was the event that prompted SIR Cliff to lock himself in the TOILET afterwards and refuse to come out for ages afterwards, so upset was he at his defeat - true fact.

Of course he's been struggling to come out of the closet ever since...

I think Una Stubbs would beg to differ as she has seen the true Man that everyone knows Sir Cliff to be.

I think Sue Barker holds the key to Cliff`s sexuality.
Who wouldn`t have wanted to have presented her with a wonderful lob (as Dan Maskell used to say) when she was 19.
