Due to a dispute with Discovery as to how much Sky pays them, the following channels may be removed as of 1st Feb if no deal is reached: Animal Planet, Discovery HD, Discovery History, Discovery Home & Health, Discovery Science, Discovery Shed, Discovery Turbo, DMAX, Eurosport1, Eurosport2, Investigation Discovery, Quest and TLC.

Discovery also has rights to the Olympics from 2022.

Some more details here: http://uk.businessinsider.com/discovery-in-extraordinary-row-with-sky-2017-1

Sky's value for money seems to be in continual decline.

Is anything decent ever on them? I know AfCON is on Eurosport and occasionally speedway but other than that I don't think I have watched any of them for a long time if ever

Is there anything decent left on Sky besides Sport?

genuine threat or posturing? unless they switch to Freesat they'll immediately lose any other revenue from UK.

Meh! I'm sure I can live without tractor pulling and bog snorkeling.

Whether their value for money is good or not their output is still very good in my opinion.

Loads of tennis to start with and I enjoyed watching an English skier coming second place in a world cup slalom last weekend.

Discovery/eurosport have the rights to the championship here in Norway. I subscribe to d-play for a tenner a month and get to see a lot of championship football, especially Brighton. They get to show games on a Saturday afternoon plus all those Sky move around.

Would be good if there was a similar offer in England.

I tend to watch EuroSport for tennis and snooker, and Discovery channels occasionally for wildlife documentaries.
I wonder if removing these would allow me to break my contract so that I can consider switching to VirginMedia instead?

I do not watch Sky since leaving the pub other than BHA games at sons house, so will any of the removed channels be available on Freeview, not that I watch them but just curious.
