Always a bad sign when managers talk about players they had in the past but no longer have. Strongly suggests a lack of ideas.
I also don't get who he is trying to fool with the Philips thing. Not like his dead or something, he's just been shit for some 18 months - plenty of time to deal with his absense... Also the idea that England was producing some sort of masterpiece, peak football thingie with Phillips on the pitch is just absurd.
