Because English players are great, until they play for Southgate’s England

Bellingham has been as bad as Rice. Has looked disinterested.

Hes absolutely wasted there. We've got a rolls Royce if a midfielder who could dominate the game and he's wafting around up front feeding odd scraps.

He's only there because he plays there for Madrid. But they've got Kroos, Camavinga, Modric, Vazquez, Tchoumani who all play there so can afford to use him as a luxury.

Can you imagine any other manager crowbarring Arnold in there and leaving Palmer on the bench / foden on the left?

This is all on Southgate. The tactical inadequacies, the inability to affect the game with logical substitutions, the inability to find a balanced side… still… he shouldn’t be in charge for this tournament, but even by his standards the first two games have been abysmal.

One thing the commentators touched on, which I actually agree with for once, is there is not one England player out there who had a good game.

If I struggled to pick one it’d be Walker, but he made loads of mistakes himself and wasn’t above a 6/10.
