Not sure how others are feeling this morning but I’m excited for the game, tempered with the fact we’re massive underdogs. Expecting England to beat Spain is like expecting Brighton to beat Man City.

Which is exactly why shithousing a 1-0 win with a Yamal goal ruled out by VAR and us scoring from our only shot would be absolutely brilliant. I wouldn’t stop laughing for months.

Wonder how many are firing up the bbq or booking a table down the pub that never bother with our “pointless friendlies” or “easy qualifiers”?

If, and I know it's a big if, England win the Euros, would Lewis get a winners medal just for being a member of the squad, even if he doesn't play one minute of any match?

Having the same debate, avoided pubs for the recent final and semi final but may say f*** it this year and mince into town to try and find a pub not full of absolute helmets.

Be interested to hear if you find one.

I interact with English football fans on a fairly regular basis. If England win today its what it be for you if Arsenal won the league four years in a row. Spain need to win for the sake of humanity.

It would be nice to think so 👍🏻

I was a wet behind the ears strip of an 18yo lad in '96, belting out "30 years of hurt" with gusto and genuinely thinking "f*ck me, that's a REALLY long time"

It's mad to think it's almost twice as long now.

It makes me feel very old.

(Thoughts and prayers with 90% of NSC who are even older :lolol:)

Dunk must feel really shit - not get even a minute. Yeah, being a part of a winning side must be great and you want to be there probably more than at home, but on the other hand he must feel a bit like a waterboy. Contributing, but not by doing what he does best (playing). Are him, Wharton and Gomez the only outfield players that haven't played? Also Dunky's not a spring chicken anymore, where as the other boys can still make it to the future tournaments.

Am I being a Negative Nelly?
When AliMac came back after the World Cup he was given a special mention and clap, should dunky receive the same should we win? Bit of an odd one.

I’d definitely clap him.

I'm pretty sure both goals were incorrectly ruled out, but I've forgotten who scored them.

First one is marginal.

Second one is a travesty. French Lino had an absolute mare.

Kiko and Salinas were the two (non) scorers.

Yes, he will get a medal as part of the squad.

I think FIFA have even retrospectively awarded all squad players from World Cups prior to substitutes medals as well. Not sure about this for the 1960s Euro winning teams.

I will be asleep for this one and expect to wake and find that one team has won.
I do have a feeling it will be either Spain or England for the Euros.
