UEFA has budgeted almost half a billion euros for the Europa League next season (€499,896), a slightly higher total than the €495,972 euros given out this year, representing 13% of the total money distributed between the teams that end up playing in the three European continental tournaments.
Roberto De Zerbi’s men will enter Europe’s second biggest competition at the group stage phase and earn €3.6m simply for qualifying.

The Seagulls will bank a further €630,000 for every game won and €210,000 for every draw.

If Brighton were to win their group, they will reap €1.1m or an extra €550,000 for finishing second.

The Sussex side would head straight to the round of 16 if they finish first and win €1.2m if they were to progress.

If they were to finish second, the club would enter knockout round play-off and play a Champions League team who finished third in their group, acquiring €500,000 for doing so.
Teams who win their quarter final ties will attain €1.8m, whilst semi-final winners can net €2.8m for making it to the final two.

The 2024 Europa League winners can collect €8.6m, whilst the runners-up are given €4.6m as a consolation prize.

This means that if Brighton were to go all the way in next year’s competition, they would gross a eye-watering €23m.

West Ham is a different comp , thats the noddy cup which I'd back us to get to the semis with current squad.

Europa league different kettle of fish , Will be success for us to get out the group
Well they got to semi final of this one by beating Lyon and Seville. We need a proper squad and id say aim should be to complete group stage and that’s a good result considering we will be in pot 4.

Can I just chip in with a few points, based on my experience of Fulham's Europa League campaign in 2009-10?
1) make the most of it as you may never have this opportunity again during your lives. This was sound advice given to me by a supporter of a 'big 6' club who you are finishing above this season. But it's true. Who knows if this is a flash in the pan - although I know you think it isn't and I hope it isn't? Make an effort to go to obscure away games and make the Amex a noisy fortress. You can have fantastic fun meeting foreign fans (as well as travelling in high speed bus convoys getting bricks chucked at you).
2) it's Sporting Club of Portugal, not Sporting Lisbon.
3) it looks to me like its shorter than in 09-10 so you should be able to maintain a PL campaign and the Europa League at the same time. We managed with a sometimes disgruntled and injured Bobby Zamora up top.
4) enjoy 😉

crikey I bet you pick people up on calling Tottenham 'Spurs' or Southampton 'Saints' too. :)

They were previously colloquially called Sporting Lisbon, they actually play in Lisbon and I'm sure people know who I mean
Quite (y) "... otherwise referred to as ... Sporting Lisbon in other countries".

Monaco would be superb. They get about 5,000 at home in a 25,000 stadium. We'd get as many tickets as we wanted. Plus it's ruddy MONACO FFS.
That would be amazing. My boss has a small apartment in Monaco - not because he’s rich, but because his girlfriend is Monegasque. So I’d even have a free palace to stay! Bring it on.

@El Presidente was interviewed on BBC1 SE tonight, where he said in terms of the total Europa League finances effect, clubs only break even if they reach the QF stage.

It's a shame we won't be playing Inter Milan really.
