I'd have loved something on the ticket site this season that shows everybody what position they are in.

I got a ticket for Luton so I know I'm in the top 1,100, but what if we get Prague with 900 tickets? It becomes a gamble to book a flight.

Anybody who thinks they're around 1,500-2,000 in line will have that scenario for a lot of potential fixtures.

Us too - 4 teams from UK have supporters have all mass booked accom in advance, and will then cancel loads it all off again and be available..

Be careful in Lens, just a tip from my Arsenal supporting manager, said everywhere was booked up as only a few hotels.

Worth bearing in mind that Lille is only about an hour away by train if accommodation becomes ridiculous.

I've posted this before but it gives you some idea of where we are with it all and yes I should have used the ROUND feature. In the blue corner is 4,000 tickets at the Sam Siro. In the red one, fewer than 1,000 in Prague.

Qarabag is slightly fewer as I believe they won't use the biggest of the 3 stadiums which this is based on. Not that it will matter. Everyone who wants one will get one if we draw them.

Isn't the away allocation usually a little smaller than the 5% which these numbers are based upon, as the figure is calculated on the number of seats left after (UEFA?) sponsors, etc are allocated some, so means that the allocation of 970 for Sparta Prague could actually be even lower?

(think i read that when we were talking about the group stage allocations but may have got this wrong)

Yes, I believe you to be correct. My spreadsheet is simply 5% of the ground total. The allocation is an approximate guess but "good enough for government work" to understand where I will be on the ticketing pecking order

We all know the draw is on Friday morning, the 23rd February and the away game will be played just 13 days later on Thursday 7th March.

Realistically, when do you think the tickets will go on sale?

My guess would be that PB (and others) will be at the draw and will discuss allocations etc. on Friday with details (loyalty point bands/prices etc.) being announced latest the Monday 26th.

Thoughts?

The yre hoping to get the pre registration up on Friday afternoon. Spoke to ticket people today. But not certain. Flights to Milan currently available at 50 quid ish return..

If there is no pre-reg, then surely the number of points required will be higher than for the previous Europa games, as they will include the chance for all those with enough points to buy in tier one, even if they have no intention of going. Pre-reg would have removed some of those and dropped the number of points required to get into tier one down.

I just hope that should we get a game with a smaller allocation, they don't have tier two as large as they do for some of the away league fixtures, as those who are only a couple of points short and would have been in tier one with the pre-reg in place will end up scrambling with those who have a lot less points and if there are only a small number of tickets remain, could easily miss out.

Its 5% minimum so San siro could be 4k plus

Basel is the nearest airport but you then have to get the bus to Freiburg (regular service) or alternatively, get a bus into Basel and then get a train from Basel SBB to Freiburg. The bus is quicker though.

Pre-registration will obviously favour those who, without it, would have fallen just outside of tier 1. I think that I’m in favour, as without pre-registration those who were just outside of tier 1 would have been part of the tier 2 bun fight, albeit that there would be more tier 2 tickets available.
