Genuinely, as soon as it went to pens, my lad asked 'who is going to miss then?' and I called it as Dan James. He just has a completely unconvincing ball-striking technique.
Me and my brother were saying similar. Never felt confident when seeing him step up.

Exactly this, as I pointed out earlier in the thread. They are the ultimate tournament also-rans. A flair-free zone since the Boniek era of the early 80s, they do nothing except power-puff stroking the ball around in midfield and defence. The commentators talk about Lewandowski constantly of course, but he never does anything ever because he gets no service.

The only good thing about Poland at the Euros is that there is a chance some tiny plucky country might actually win a game.
Both Wales and Poland would be also-rans. On that basis we might as well restrict the Euros to 8 finalists. In fact I’d prefer that with every game meaning something. Without a Bale and Ramsey, Wales aren’t much good — that’s the reality. I wouldn’t have minded them qualifying if they weren’t so full of contempt for England and England fans. Once you’ve seen that dressing room video from 2016 you can’t ever unsee it. Fook 'em.
