Hopefully Bruno will dive and his teeth get buried in the turf.

Funny ol game

How is it possible that Slovenia looked so good against us and yet look so bad against Portugal?

Because Portugal are obsessed with winning while England are concerned with not failing.

Its more psychology than tactics or quality.

Obsessed with cheating rolling about and winning

Yeah I hate them (and everything Portuguese football related) and hope they go out tonight. But they're pretty good and provide a more entertainment than some others.

Ronaldo is insufferable. He's like that spoilt needy child who most adults just relent and let win at a party because it's easier to do so. Hopefully, Slovenia don't see it that way.

Portugal's progression appears to be secondary to the Ronaldo show.

What a prick

It's hilarious. I mean, that free kick

More fun watching this than the last game though!

Will the "Ronaldo thing" be the downfall of this Portugal side I wonder?

(probably not, but we can hope)

I think there must be a giant mirror on that stadium roof.

There's not a single Portugal player that doesn't die during the game, what a pathetic lot of cheats they are.

But the worst dive of the game was from Slovenia

That's down to the manager.

The FK was ok I think.. but yeah the build up...
I think there's two sides to the Ronaldo thing. I think his narcissism and hubris raises the self confidence of the other players as well. But then there's his ego and hero complex that has been costly before and could be costly again.

True and I hate it. Our players, as in Brighton, and I call it out, much to some other fans disgruntlement.

Don't mind old ronald, it's the buck toothed, whingeing ground hugger and the that 'ouch, my head has been removed from my shoulders' cheat from fulham makes me want to put my studs in the back of their legs

To large extent but you shouldn't underrate the impact of having two 40-year-olds that have won 5 Champions Leagues and 30+ titles each. They can kill of any fear. England doesn't have those leaders on the pitch.

But yes, most things Southgate say and do certainly doesn't take the anxiety of the players. Think most of the players like him and that they are motivated, but I think he is often adding to the (already intrinsic) fear of the English team.
