I think they're a bit unlucky to go out with 4 points when at least 2 teams, maybe more, go through with 3 (and it could even have been 2 points going through at one stage). It's a screwy format

I don't think it's unlucky they finished bottom of this group though, especially with Belgium being so disappointing. All told they weren't good enough over 3 games - I think the 3-0 to Romania did for them tbh, always uphill from there.
Slovakia and Romania doing a Stains vs. Spurs arrangement?

I know I’m a bit of a broken record, but England matches aside, this is as much as I can remember enjoying any tournament in a long time. It’s been brilliant.

I think the lesser European teams have got a lot better at football in the last few decades. When we used to play a side like Turkey, 8-0 was about par. Now we could have a 32 team tournament and I think it would be decent.

This. I think the quality has been so high throughout this tournament (England’s group aside) and some of the smaller nations have played some beautiful football. The standard is the highest it’s ever been which is leading to some superb football matches

And a few of the "better" ones have got a bit more sh*t.

It does make it more interesting 😁

I remember England winning 8-0 over there. Then when Turkey got better it took a 'Wise hand' to win the match.

Agree - Austria, Switzerland, Georgia, Romania, Türkiye, a few others that aren't the traditional big 7 or 8, have played some brilliant football at times. Really looking forward to the knockout rounds, maybe a few upsets in there 🤞
