Dunno how that's fair as they had the WC in 98 but suits me brilliantly - will hopefully get to go to my first major tourno!

Can someone remind me where Euro 2012 and WC 2014 is?

So I know i'm getting way ahead of myself here but are tickets for the Euros likely to be just offerd to members of that EnglandFansPlus scheme?

What I mean is how r tickets for major tournos usually sold?

Don't ever believe the 'don't travel without tickets as you wont get in' bollox. It may cost way over the odds but you can always get a ticket. Me and a few friends will be going out to SA after the first group stage, we don't have a ticket between us.

At Italia 90 the English F.A. even set up their own ticket booth at matches!

Normally you can get tickets through the England Fans+ ( Now called Fans Gold ) dependant on how many points you have or seats released to England FA ( Fans get 1 point for home games 2 for away ) So if its a big stadium like wembley no problems .

So you would proberbly need to collect points as soon as posible , or at least one compertition in advance . to follow this route ( me and some mate's started for Africa 2010 doing what we could all home games and quiet a few away 19 points ) the only reason we got tickets for some of the smaller venues was because it's quiet expensive , security issues and not as many fan's could afford to take time off etc .

But like most tournerments they put some on general release ( South Africa they used a lucky dip ballott we didnt get any through this as it was oversuscribed , but i know lot's that did ) France would be a popular venue so to have any chance you would need points in the bag .

This is just my take on it having chased the points for this world cup all the best hope this helps  13 days and counting :clap2:

UEFA will flog tickets on the site anyway, but if you want to make sure you get tickets for it, EF+ is the way to do it.

Better have the boats on standby at Dunkirk if there's loads of Germans there.

thanks mate - I've done a couple of homes on my FAN number so hopefully have a coupler points...

I just think France will be rammed with English so there may not be so many tickets floating about... I'll travel anyway tho - just for the atmo - went to Amsterdam with England a few yrs back and the atmosphere in the city was awesome...

Good luck in SA - COME ON ENGLAND

For the world cup, EF+ got an allocation of about 7-12% of the capacity of each stadium to sell to fans. Not a single game has sold out so far. If you do not go through your countries FA, then they just have application stages, so you can either apply to follow a country (you would buy all 7~ tickets for that country, but then get refunded if they go out early) or just individual matches, but this happens before you know the games.

EF+ is by the far the easiest, and alot of people just do a few home games and 1 away game to ensure they qualify to apply through the FA.

As it is only in France, I would expect demand to be massive, however

I know Mendoza's mate had tickets for sale for all Englands group games at face value if he's still got em may be worth a PM?

I'm sure you'll be fine getting them in SA tho
