Great tournament because of:

Goals every game.

No homer or blatantly biased referees.

5 England goals, some of great class, and pride restored. Smile on their faces, and bodes well for the future with the likes of Cahill & Wilshire added.

Some shocks.

Great stadia and atmosphere for each game.

Watchable times luckily for us, compared to some WCups.

Game 25, and as much as it pains me to say it, Ronaldo had another good game and still no goalless games. And thanks to Howard Webb for another good performance, no sendings off and no pens. Without searching is this tournament setting a record for least penalties (just 1 missed so far)
Great tournament, and long may england exceed expectations

I guess its still early days yet but the stats so far have been great. With games 19 and 20 being played tonight
No 0-0 games, no penalties and only 1 sending off of that greek dude that shouldn't even have been a sending off.

The best. The referees have ruined ones before and the football is quite good as well.

Agree with this, largely – let's hope they don't start getting all fearful at semi-final stage and dry the goals up. I also think the reffing's been good – they seem to be letting the ones go where the player goes down at the slightest touch, obviously looking for the free kick to get him out of trouble. One awful howler which did us a favour apart, of course.

I generally want to see the best players on top of their game too, but I have to make an exception for that preening, arrogant, diving, pouting winker. I'd pay very good money to see the look on his face if they go out agonisingly, or in a game they've dominated but lost.

Last few games have been pretty dire (Portugal vs Czech Rep and England vs Ukraine), hopefully tonight will bring back the excitement, might have to wait till Spain vs France though

It has been a good tournament so far, and it looks like all the fun is still
ahead of us: Spain-France, Italy-England, and then probably England-Germany
and Portugal-Spain in the semi-finals.

And all the windmilling and plastic chair luzzing when we get knocked out.

And all the windmilling and plastic chair luzzing when we get knocked out.

That's what we're all secretly waiting for.

Why the pessimism, Simster? It's about time England won something.

Shhhhh, we're doing well because there aren't any expectations. Keep it that way.

After Game 26 and, well what can you say? the Germans just look awesome. Greeks had a glimmer of hope after the equaliser but that was well and truly snuffed out.
After this six goal feast, we're still emphatically without a goalless game.
(who said the knockout stages would be boring)
Unfortunately a shit penalty was given to Greece, but hey, only 2 penalties in 25 games? Not bad.
This tournament is f***ing great, that is until England go out,
Then I'll sulk and stop posting :)

Probably England-Germany? I hope you're right, but I put Italy as slight favorites.

Euro 2012 has been grand because its been practically free of hype and histrionics. Its just been teams going on and playing their game.

What can you say about game 27? Spain's strikerless wonders look sexy, France looked like strangers. 2-0 and job done.
Another pen, Spain tonight (3 in whole tournament)
Still no goalless games.
No red cards
Win or lose tommorrow tonight for England, the semis look mouth watering.
Spain vs Portugal
Germany vs Italy or England
Let the goals and the entertainment continue.
P.s PLEASE WIN ENGLAND

poor quarter finals so far which is a shame as the tournament has been a cracker so far. hopefully england and italy can bring some life back with a genuinely entertaining match, which we then before the torture of penalties.
