After all that good work in the previous round as well.

Disappointing.

Eubank Jr will need a bit more than 50% for the rematch.

That lump on Eubank’s face is nasty. Going to be a painful in the morning!

Good result for smith.

Jr isn’t used to being knocked down and made a fatal error imo. Was too focused on getting up asap to not show any weakness. Should have taken the whole 9 seconds to get his breath and take the round off recovering.

Instead, just dived right into another barrage and tko.
Unfortunately amateur decision making, maybe just due to not knowing what the hell to do when being knocked down…

Would love to see the rematch at The Amex. Only fair Smith has to fight down South this time.
Manchester Arena holds 21,000. The Amex 32,000 (in the seats). Make’s financial and emotional sense for CEJ.

A positive to take from this for all gamblers is that the bookies could hardly have been more wrong when they priced up this fight:
Odds on Jr, odds on points victory and huge prices for ko/tko in any round for either fighter

Modern day bookmaking is so tight, small percentages are all there ever are because the industry is so well informed. It may well be that the match was priced up correctly on all available data but the outcome was completely unexpected for the layers.

Hope, if only a glimmer but hope nonetheless

Not quite sure how an odds-on favourite getting beaten is a positive for punters ( odds reflect weight of money )but like your philosophy

Smith’s corner guy hyped him up solidly for that fourth round. He was doing 2-3 punch combos first 3 rounds then that last round he stepped up a gear and was doing 4-5-6 punch combinations which proved too much of a barrage for Eubank. Like someone else said Eubank just not used to getting knocked down.

Boring betting nonsense.

He’s not “great”. Easily beat a fighter who had lost 2 of his last 3. Let’s give him time.
16/16 with 12 by knock out. 3rd ranked British Cruiserweight in a pretty competitive pool. Would like to see him fight Okolie though.

As a side note, Tommy Welch has just signed a contract with Sky Sports and will have his first live fight at Wembley in a few weeks time.
I'll be interesting to follow him and see how far he can go.
