It's just a shame the Championship team doesn't include several of them, especially Wright, Bopara, and Jordan. That's three Test players wasting their talents.

Wright's one day career has surely been prolonged by dropping the 4 day stuff. When you consider what a monster of T20 he's become I'm not sure I'd agree it's a waste.

Wright would score more runs than Crawley right now for England, and Pope. But you're right. Wright is pretty much a trendsetter and has made a great career out of realising his limitations relatively early on.

Indeed. The Sussex set-up is where England are rapidly heading: sod the long format, concentrate on the shorter formats where the money is. (And let the players concentrate on them as well). Dreading the Ashes already.
