Nothing. The argument was about wanting all foreigners in the Brighton team, like Arsenal, because English players were too expensive.
Well as far as that, that lies squarely at the feet of the relevant English football bodies for allowing so much foreign ownership of its clubs.
Even a few years back it was just PL sides this was an issue with.
Now even in Division One in England we have a team owned by billionaire foreigners.
So if you've billionaires splashing cash in your third tier league it's going to inflate the market even at that level.
Imagine the frustration for our clubs management when every time they inquired about a local player they were quoted way over the odds for a fee and a wage.
It seems no matter what we do we're damned if we do in the eyes of some and damned if we dont in the eyes of others.
And that relates to us looking for non league players who are generally English to bring in at a price we can afford. But when we do they get howled down for doing so but a section of our fans.
