I expect Enzo Fernandez will be on the phone to his agent frantically trying to get a quick move out of London before Disasi, Fofana and Gusto beat the living shit out of him.

We may be about to witness the most distasteful Chelsea shower scene since the days of Ken Monkou and Graeme Le Saux.

And for that reason I can't see how Chelsea can possibly keep him, it'll split the dressing room

Big ask for Enzo's media handlers to, er, handle this one. Nevermind tho eh, always plenty of clubs queueing up to offer contracts to c*nts just so long as that c*nt might conceivably improve their league standing

Maybe, but weren't they singing in Argentinian?
Now let me see…. What language do they speak in Argentina? It’s Brazil where they speak Portuguese.

Are all of the other singers getting chastised (and rightly so) or is it only/mainly the Chelsea knobhead?

I assume they haven't been identified yet

I also assume that if they can't be clearly identified they can simply say 'wasn't me guv'

Enzo has no defence, though

A player wearing shorts bearing the No 16, which is Giovani Lo Celso's squad number at the Copa America, appears to be banging the team bus in time with the first chant. It is unclear whether the player continues to chant during the second song.

Julian Alvarez was seen in a snippet of the footage record by Fernandez sat next to the Chelsea player on the bus, however there is no evidence of the Manchester City youngster taking part in the singing of the chant.

Manchester United wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho is not featured in the footage.

Reports have suggested that one figure in the footage might be his Manchester United team-mate Lisandro Martinez, however that person is not taking part in any of the chanting, and it is as yet inconclusive whether it is in fact the United defender.

Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister was not seen in the footage either, and is not thought to have been on the bus, nor indeed was talisman Lionel Messi.

That has not stopped Julio Garro, undersecretary of sports in Argentina, from demanding Messi and his team-mates apologise.

Being £100m player with 7 years of your deal at a club with ..... ahem ... some PSR complexities, makes you basically unsackable.

Enzo could profess love for Hitler, Chelsea would have to keep him.

They do have the option of dropping him to make an example. I just don't think they care about victims of racism. I don't think they will worry about a split in the dressing room. I can't imagine any of those people actually like each other anyway.

Vacuous statements and we move on

So basically there's no consequences for being racist?

For, you, I, the civilised world and nearly all footballers, yes.

For a Chelsea footballer who can't realistically be sold or effectively disciplined, no.

Astley, Manchester
This will be a very tricky situation for Chelsea to manage.
They can invoke disciplinary procedures but it’s the harm this does to the squad dynamic itself which will be harder to deal with. There were rumours last season that Enzo wanted out already and this will only add to that.
Nice little problem for the new manager to deal with.
Just shows that money doesn’t buy you everything.
