Enquiry to the FA

Just for a giggle (and because I have very little to do tonight) I thought I'd send a quick note to the FA via their website enquiry form.
I very much doubt I'll hear back, othan than to have my membership revoked anyway.
This is what I sent anyway......

Hi,
I was just wondering if you could provide me with some information regarding the mismanagement of referees and the appalling decisions they make on a regular basis, often resulting in game changing situations?
I myself am I Brighton fan so, if possible, I'd like some clarification on a recent decision by Mike Dean that changed the final game of season and potentially cost the club £170m in promotion funds.
Obviously I'm referring to the Dale Stephens red card against Middlesborough. Now, I'm a little confused by this decision (and clearly the ref was too), the ref pulled a yellow card from his pocket and the only reason I can tell for him not issuing the yellow was the fact that the whinging (and quite clearly dying) Boro player on the floor actually hit the card out of his hand and proceeded to educate the ref on what card to actually issue. It's my understanding that behaviour like that is deemed as descent and should have also been a bookable offence? Or maybe the ref can just make stuff up as he blags his way through his alleged profession? Who knows eh?
Not only was the challenge 50/50, but if Ramirez decides to turn up to a game wearing his sons tiny shin pads then of course he is going to get injured. So can you just clarify that Stephens was indeed sent off due to a combination of Ramirez's stupidity and the lack of genitalia in Mike Deans pants?
As you know, we (B&HAFC) appealed the decision but due to the general consensus that Mr Deans buddies are on the corrupt panel, we all knew what the outcome would be.
It's kind of hard to fully understand how the board can make these kind of decisions, especially when a few weeks ago, Joey "not important enough for a medal" Barton blatantly stamped on Beram Kayal's leg and yet the ref on this occasion did sweet FA (pun quite obviously intended).
As I touched on before, it's common knowledge that the FA is run by a bunch of crooks who deal in backhanders and favours, it's quite obviously visible by the fact that there is no consistency in decision making or the appeal process that occurs afterwards. Isn't it about time that someone actually governed the referees, the power crazed jobsworths who ruin games week in, week out, with their horrendous decisions?
You make examples of players for bad choices during games and managers for daring to speak out about these talent-less numpties, time to start dishing out fines and bans for the guys who possess the power the ruin games at the drop of a hat.
Anyway, I'll look forward to not hearing from you.
Kind regards
Ian.

Has there actually been any official explanation as to what the red card was issued for?

we could all copy that and send it to them
loads of emails from the brighton fans

Wrong spelling of dissent. But otherwise why not? If you're gonna have a sarcastic rant at people who won't even bother opening it then at least spell it right for pride.

Did make me smile though. I LOVE sarcasm. It's my favourite personality trait.

Nice one. I did wonder about writing a rant to them to help deal with the decision today but then came on NSC instead.

I sent it from my phone so the spell check probably corrected it without me realising, but thanks for pointing it out

Uh oh. You used the word "was" incorrectly.
You may want to watch that, the spelling cops are out in force.

More confused than angry I would say. It really does amaze me at how inconsistent these refs are on a daily basis and how drastically it can change a game with no form of discipline or punishment for the offender.
It's the FA though, they can do what they like.

Agree totally with this. The thing that confuses me most is that Ramirez clearly pushes the yellow card out of Dean's hand. Yet there's no mention of this in the press, Dean takes no action and the FA don't charge him with anything. I'm totally confused by this. I thought we were supposed to respect referees. A player can be booked for kicking the ball away in dissent yet pushing the card out of a referee's hand results in no action. How are players supposed to respect referees when they see that happen?

Me too, but it was either this or Hollyoaks.

There's always been plenty of reasons to watch Hollyoaks, as long as the sound is off. Like her that's now in Game of Thrones - she's lovely.

Come to think of it, maybe just watch her on Game of Thrones.

Or porn. Porn would be a good alternative to Hollyoaks.

I'm not really sure where I'm going with this.

Hove (actually)
Why are people on this Board continually referring to FA corruption and alluding to conspiracies? There's no evidence of that and makes us all look like bedwetting whingers.
Football authorities in the UK aren't corrupt - largely incompetent, other than in commercial dealings on tv rights, yes, but not corrupt in a Blatter / Warner sense.
Instead of writing a stream of consciousness rant, maybe a short note seeking clarification of the rules of the game in the light of the Stephens decision might hit home more effectively? Eg asking them if this sets a precedent that the extent of an injury must be considered when handing out cards and whether a player attempting an overhead kick or any other manoeuvre that exposes his studs must automatically be yellow carded at the very least.
That's the real and enduring issue here - they've just changed the rules of the game unilaterally and I for one now have no idea what constitutes serious foul play and what doesn't. If I were a player or manager i'd be bewildered and concerned by this course of events, and the game now needs the authorities to clarify the reasons for this decision and the implications for referees' future management of games.

This could be season long fun. Dear FA can you please explain why the incident between x and y did not result in a yellow/red card as it seems exactly the same as the Dale Stephens ref card. In my view the are exactly the same so why the inconsistency.

You know what happens when people do and say nothing about injustice , ? , Nothing .

My short email to the FA was not as classy as that, but I sent one non the less , the incompetence of firstly the officials and then the FA themselves are nothing short of cluster****flidddery so though they will not reverse the decision they should be made aware at every opportunity that they have yet again gone against all common sense and integrity, daft twats.
