Coming across as a really nice, humble bloke but with real character. Going to be a fan's favourite very quickly (until he gets written off as a player after his first 5 min sub appearance in a friendly, obvs)

Boooooooooo.

I would love to see Mwepu and Bissouma paired together, fully match fit.

Like what I saw pressures the opponent and makes intelligent angles and passes.

Looks like he's got an engine on him as well.

Like Biss, he's extremely rapid over short distances, which bodes well. He played a lot of forward passes suggesting ambition and creativity, although most didn't come off. Looks promising though.

Seems to play with intelligence. A midfielder who can drift outside and feed balls down the wing. Can't wait to see him and Lamptey playing together.

The thing I love about Mwepu is that he moves the ball swiftly. Before he receives the ball he knows where he wants to play it this does result in a few going astray but also gives us more directness in the final third which is what we have been sorely missing

Yeah - but can he do it on a warm Saturday afternoon in Luton?

Oh

Mwepu immediately looked an upgrade on Moder, who himself is a good player. If Biss stays it’s a formidable midfield. Even if he doesn’t we are strong in that area.

It’s great technique. So easy to shank or sky that but he didn’t try to hit it too hard or put it right in the corner, just concentrated on keeping it down and on target and in that type of situation, the keeper doesn’t have time to react. Brilliant play.

Also excellent contributions from Lallana and March.

Also excellent contributions from Lallana and March.

I think March was the mastermind of that whole move with two passes verging on the world class. So accurate and so fast on the deck to exactly where each player wanted the ball. I’m so thrilled he is back (albeit as a left back now instead or a LWB).
