I’m hoping this signing is more an insurance play by the club. Shoring up our options, replacing Proper so we’re better prepared IF Biss does go.

He needs time, unfair to expect him to hit the ground running. A massive difference in quality between the respective leagues.

If it’s selling white to fund that, and we sign a left back and striker - top 12 finish is achievable. Have Sanchez for a whole season compared to that donkey ryan will have a big impact.

That makes me feel its more a Propper replacement. If Biss is leaving then we need a ready made, straight into the team, Premier League competent midfielder. If Mwepu was that then i'd guess his club would know they can get more than £11m from us. Maybe im just being hopeful.

Trends and chatter means nothing. That he is a top class midfielder matters however.

We’re signing him for £11m. Not sure there’s a Ben White connection.
