Absolutely gutted for him but at least it has been picked up. I always thought he gave us something different in midfield and when he got a run of games would be a real asset to us.

Shocking news. Must be hard for him to take, hope he can still find a career in football, coaching maybe. Will be a big loss to his country and to us.

"These tests have concluded that his illness is due to a hereditary cardiac condition, which manifests later in life and was not previously evident on regular cardiac screening."
Interesting so may have impacted other family members. Probably not in his interests to disclose. But if he didn't disclose could it impact insurance payout?

24 years of age. That is nothing for a footballer, the Computer had not even hit his peak.
Thank goodness it was identified early and not discovered on the football pitch.

Shocking news, absolutely gutted for Enock. The said I'm glad the condition has been discovered before it could do him any serious harm.

Enock was such a fun addition to our team, he will be missed.

This.

Good luck in the future Enock, such a bright prospect, hopefully he can manage his health and possibly stay within the game in some capacity.

Had TS on in the background and heard Mwepu's name and then the news after; at first I thought, or I was rather hoping, it was a different 'Mwepu' that they were talking about. Genuinely feeling gutted by this.

So sad but thankful it's been picked up and can hopefully be managed.

We know the club will help him in the best way forward.

****ing hell that really really sucks... one of few players to play with a smile on his face, you could tell he really enjoyed it. This is horrible.

Hope he gets well

This is awful news. As others have said, it's just a good job it was spotted now and not when it may have been too late. Terribly sad. Once a Seagull...

So sad, stunning news. All the best Enock

Only upside is that it was diagnosed in time hopefully.

Lordy...sickener. Sending Enock best wishes. Good that it's been identified now and we're not dealing with a worse outcome

Awful. Looked to be a gifted player on course for big things. I hope the club are doing the right things by him at this moment, I have full confidence that they are.
