At risk of dropping in to the realms of fantasy and years gone by I'll still have to say Robbie Fowler.

That guy was, and probably still has (somewhere) class.

If you're talking about a striker to play alongside CMS, IMO it's Zamora. He's now got the experience and build to be the perfect c/f to lead the line and hold the ball up. Also he is the right age to command the attacking line and the rest of the team.
