Joel Lynch and Anton Ferdinand anyone?

Could be worht a bet, if your prepared to have a 6 year pending bet. Really think our young lad has the mentality and determination to get to the top.

Is it me being stupid and completely random, or is it really possible? I also see Lynch going to 'Boro as Southgate's replacement.

He was called up for the England u19's last year, but pulled out of the squad for the youth cup 1/4 final at Newcastle.

Even if you did fancy the chances of that happening I think you'll be amazed at how tight the bookies are with the odds for "special" bets that you essentially make-up and walk in with asking for a price.

I remember reading about Chris Kirklands dad who was about to collect a bet he placed when Chris was 9, that he would one day play for England. But was amazed me was the price, he only got 100/1 .. when the boy was 9!

And apart from all that, it's a long way off, and so far he's looked good against Rotherham and Gillingham. Let's try to keep some perspective on this shall we.

Huddlestone isn't a centre back.

You would get slightly better odds if you were to say two players and are specific about when they would play.

That's where he was playing last night, alongside Anthony Gardner.
Well he can play there. Midfield is his position really though. I doubt he'll ever play centreback for England.
