Lots of speculation about who Southgate will take to Qatar - Some of the decisions he has to make have been made a lot easier by injuries. Who would you take in your 26-man squad if you were the England manager? Here's my effort, although I am certain the likes of Maguire and Sterling will be included. To be fair, they have both been good for the most part in an England shirt.

GK: Pickford
GK: Ramsdale
GK: Pope

RB: Alexander-Arnold
RB/LB: Trippier
LB: Shaw
RB/CB: White
RB/CB: Walker (if fit?)
CB: Stones
CB: Dier
CB: Tomori
CB: Dunk

MID: Rice
MID: Bellingham
MID: Henderson
MID: Phillips (if fit?)
MID: Gallagher
MID: Maddison
MID: Mount

FWD: Kane
FWD: Foden
FWD: Grealish
FWD: Saka
FWD: Rashford
FWD: Toney
FWD: Wilson

(though of course I understand Pickford will go)

RB: Trippier
RB: James
CB: Stones
CB: White
CB: Dunk
CB: Coady
CB: Dier
CB: Burn
LB: Chilwell
LB: March

If James isn't fit, I'd pick Walker over TAA.

CM: Rice
CM: Bellingham
CM: Maddison
CM: Mount
CM: Gallagher
CM: Foden
CM: Ramsey

Not much to choose from here. Many players can play in multiple roles and could also be counted as wingers/f9s.

LW/RW: Sterling
LW/RW: Grealish
LW/RW: Saka
LW/RW: Rashford

Apart from Saka, these are not in great shape but Foden, Maddison, March, Mount could also play in these roles.

CF: Kane
CF: Toney

Looks thin on paper but players like Sterling, Rashford and Foden could all play there if needed.

Chilwell and James have both been ruled out, and Walker may also not make it :(

Does it matter who we take, we still have a completely inept manager in charge.

Nice to know know it all Swansman up to speed on English football.
Injury news = dull. I knew Chilwell and James were injured but thought they had a chance of making it, didn't know they had already been ruled out.

The Reece James news are bad for England, he is the best English defender by a mile. Chilwell is probably replacable as there's other bang average left backs around.

GK: Pickford, Pope, Ramsdale
DF: Walker, Shaw, Stones, DUNK, White, Trippier, Sessegnon, Tomori, Tarkowski
MF: Rice, Bellingham, Henderson, Mount, Maddison, Saka, Gallagher, Eze
FW: Kane, Foden, Grealish, Rashford, Toney, Abraham.

Had they been fit I would have taken Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Kalvin Phillips over Tarkowski, Shaw and Gallagher.

Notable absentees include: TAA (Shit defender), Maguire (shot), Sterling (just in bad form, other players overtaken him)

Henderson has been really struggling this season, he's a regular sub now rather than starter. I'd rather see us add something different to the squad.

Normally when i have a go at my England squad for a tournament, i have to think hard about who to leave out. At the moment im more thinking its going to be hard to find a squad of players fit and in any sort of form.

Just look on the back of a popular fizzy pop bottle, shaving and under arm TV adds there you will find the promoters/FA's choice
