If you watch the clip on this thread it clearly shows that the defender nearest the goal, Shawcross I think, could and should have got to it. Well that is my opinion.

By the way twitter has exploded it sounded like this overhead kick was from the half way line with a goalkeeper in the net to save it, not from the edge of the area into an empty net. Anyway, nice goal.
