Seven and a half minute over, ridiculous.

Pak bring on a seamer. Bairstow smacks him for 17 from 1 over. England need 34, but it is getting dark, pak are timewasting and JB hit a 6 into a part of the ground where there are no spectators, so it took ages to get the ball back. England will win as long as the umpires let them play on

Total farce. Pakistan wasted at least ten minutes in that final hour. R.I.P test cricket.

Do you really believe we would have been any different?

Been watching test cricket for a long time and have never seen England take the piss like that. Taking a bit of extra time in between deliveries yes, taking 3 minutes to 'find the ball' after a 6 is a joke.

It's a moot point. Another three overs and England would have won that. It was also a damn sight darker than that when Nasser Hussein's side won late on in Sri Lanka.

Bumble says they did away with that years ago. It is now completely down to the umpires and the readings they take the first time they go off for bad light.

This is true but it's a stupid rule that hands the advantage to the fielding team who can just time waste their way to a draw with no serious repurcussions.

It was against Pakistan in Karachi and yes, it was much darker but as the umpires were allowed to make the decision Steve Bucknor told them to get on with it as they'd been wasting so much time and we won.

Umpires should be able to just turn round to the fielding side and say right, there are 9 overs left (or whatever there were at the end), and you are going to bowl them whatever the light, so unless the batting side want to stop because of it, stop pissing around and get on with it.
