Yeah, we need bowlers who can bat well because Cook is shitehouse.

Watch as the inevitable last wicket stand takes them over 400.

If you were to write a book on what to expect from an England cricket match, a 50+ stand for the opposition's last wicket would be one of the first things you'd write.

 No doubt we'll probably be all out for about 200 with Cook edging behind for around 20.

Given how the Indian bowlers toiled against Leciestershire and Derbyshire reserves and the beneign state of the pitch we should be able to get up to and beyond 400.

Yeah, it's a long series, we need to make sure we don't lose this one now. It would be nice if we could grind the Indian bowlers down and keep them out there for a while.
The track is docile enough for us to do that......but I have my doubts about out batting talent.

Still you never know.

Hopefully England will be batting later in this session... then we will find out how 'good' this wicket really is :)

Shami went in to bat, with a Test batting average of 3.33, and a high score of 11

Christ aloud, how many more balls will Shami leather? :(

Pre-today: 9 inns, 20 runs, 3 boundaries avg 3.33

Now he's more than tripled his average, tripled his boundaries and tripled his runs. Get Harmison and Swann back in the side!
