Let's not be too down about this, after all, good teams are better than us and bad teams raise their game against us as we are England. So, we are bound to lose quite frequently, its not the fault of the players, coaches or selectors.

There is no point in trying to change our game as we are doing everything right.

This is Alex Hales, the only man to have scored a Twenty20 century for England, who hasn't played a game for weeks and has been dropped in at a position that he doesn't play for his county.

Moores has to go after this World Cup. I was vaguely in favour of his re-appointment (at least I could see the logic in it) but he's been an unmitigated disaster. He doesn't seem to have a clear plan for these ODIs, and seemingly no convincing long-term plan for the team in any form of the game (witness his reluctance to try new players and give them a decent run).

He went to King's School in Cheshire. A lovely looking private school with hefty fees. Therefore, keep him in.

What!? We won our group in '83, P6 W5. In '87 we got to the final and were close to winning it.
