Roy always looks on the edge of getting out, Denly has a solid defensive technique but seems to have rushes of blood every now and again

Sometimes you have to give credit to the bowler, thought Roy had batted well upon until his dismissal.

Roy is in a more natural position at no.4, although 5 after the night watchman. He contributed. But boy did he leave a gap to get bowled.

Just after I posted Botham showed three times he's been bowled with virtually the same ball, each time he's unbalanced. That's technique, it appears defending top of off stump is his nemesis.

Your being a bit harsh was a great delivery.

Root was a great delivery, that was not. Look at the gap between bat and pad. I actually rate Roy but it’s a deficiency brought on by his one day success, his defensive technique is quite horrific.

That's the problem England are trying to convert a one day specialist into a five day player. I don't think Roy bats top four for Surrey he hardly plays any red ball cricket.

All those Stokes heroics at Leeds are a distant memory now, Aussies will retain the Urn.

Dismal.

Respect to Stokes, he walked, not one Aussie would ever do that.
I can't give respect for that. What's the point in walking when the opponents don't do the same?

Stokes gone. Ashes gone.

We need to stop playing so many tests and get back to promoting the four day game and allowing batsmen to develop there and not just picking sloggers.
