Brighton factually.....
For calling it Soccer you should start on a 3 goal deficit IMO
Again, with this…

The English coined the phase soccer, way way back to help differentiation between Rugby Football and Football in the universities, this traveled over to America and stuck.

seeing as Mrs Freakout will be celebrating Thanks giving Thursday, I hate turkey, it’s too dry, I strongly dislike cornbread, it tastes like cardboard, not too mention green bean casserol in mushroom sauce, puke….
that and I don’t see the point celebrating it here, when she does not even get the day off 😂
(anyone who knows me, please don’t tell my wife the above)

I will be mainly hoping we just avoid defeat Friday, otherwise it will be a long weekend.

Fine, you both start with a 3 goal deficit.

Every game is very different and Iran were poor but I was impressed with England today. I think they’ll piss that group, beating USA 3-0 in the process. Bellingham is going to be world class. England’s main problem is going to be Southgate’s obsession with Macguire, it will cost them later in the competition.
Slabhead was out of position for their goal...

Gods country fortnightly
Is FIFA still pushing the idea of a WC every 2 years?

Knowing England and possibly without Kane I'd say 1-1 , setting us up for inevitable tense match against the Taffs.

3am Saturday morning here (same time of day as the third group game) so going to be a decision to make whether I brave finding somewhere to watch.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another high scoring game something like 4-2

Hope it's a really drab goalless draw. It would set you up nicely for qualifying if you beat Iran in your final group match by a decent margin.

I always like your posts @Popeye and you seem a really nice guy. (y)

Interesting that the pundit wagons circled around Maguire after he won a couple of headers in Iran's box. The fact that he went walkabout, didn't follow his man and exposed Stones for Iran's first goal, has had little mention. We all know that he's effective in the air. The point is that most of the other players who could have been picked are also good in the air, but don't consistently get caught out of position when attackers run at them.

Always a difficult fixture for me, don't know which side I should be cheering. All I know is that whoever wins in the end, that was who I was rooting for the whole time...
There's pros and cons of supporting 'U-S-A'. On the one hand your team may not progress far in the tournament, but on the other, you only have to learn the one song.

Yes USA decent up front not so good at defending . If England turn up will be a comfortable win but not a thrashing .
