My faith in English football has been restored over the last two games. We are not Spain, we don't do fancy dan stuff and at last we have a manager who knows that and plays to our strengths. Lots of spirirt and passion and playing to the best of our limited ability on the world stage. We also managed to look like the current Albion when we tried to keep a 1-0 lead, you just knew as we dropped deeper and deeper that it was gonna go pear shaped. Credit to the team for sticking with it, we are not going to win the tournament but at least I can take some pride in the way the players have a passion I haven't seen from England for a long time.

Johnson was even worse he has to go

I can think of two goal saving tackles he made. I don't think we should be having a go at any of them tbh, breath of fresh air to see the commitment from ALL of them.

I seem to recall he made both of them (brilliantly) because he'd been caught out of position (yet again) in the first place.

I can't fault any of their commitment, but I thought Terry's lack of pace was shown up badly in the second half, Johnson's positional sense is on a par with one of those confused tourists that accidentally wanders into the DMZ between North & South Korea, Gerrard gave the ball away too much & Ashley Young was hopelessly weak.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Spot on Edna, the only difference in Johnsons display compared to that in the France game was his errors cost us a goal this time.
He got away with it against France.
