I'm actually looking forward to dickheads like John Terry being shown how to play football at the highest level.

This.

I couldn't give a toss about this game. Why anyone would want to pay to watch it I do not know.

I actually hope England get thrashed on Saturday so that Terry, Lampard, Cole and co. get a large dose of the realisation that they are shit.

If you are going to have a meaningless friendly, you might as well have it against the current World and European Champions.

The Spain game is a sell out so plenty of £££££££'s for the FA to go towards the Wembley debt! Many people dont appear to share your view this is a pointless game.

With Rooney and possibly Terry (if found guilt of racism) looking like they could miss the Euros then Capello needs to play some games with a new line up.

People have different opinions at the end of the day and I stand by my original opinion that it is pointless.
We'll put out an experimental side and get a few goals smashed past us. What are we going to learn from that?
Well, other than the harsh reality that we simply are not good enough to get past the quarter-finals of a major tournament.

Great to see Lamps as captain, many people wrote him off and he's come back into top form and proved everyone wrong. He's still a key member of the squad and long may it continue.

As for being pointless, you tell the 90,000 sell out audience that, not to mention the many millions watching at home. It's a great opportunity to pit our wits against the best in the business, all good preperation for the Euros next summer and a chance for the brave new generation of England players to show us what they're made of.
