Interesting selection dilemma. Bairstow in for KP, or do we bring Swann in for KP, and play the extra bowler? The rumour is that it's Bairstow for KP and Swann for BRESNAN?!

I'm done with betting on this series!

I had:

Anderson over Steyn, head to head wickets, on the basis that they are both great bowlers but the conditions would favour Jimmy :dunce:

Smith to be SA leading runs scorer @ 3/1. He's actually done as well as I expected, but hadn't counted on Amla smacking a triple century!

Bloody Pietersen to be leading Eng run scorer @ 5/1. This was looking pretty good, until the weekend!

Right team and a good toss to lose

I agree, I think it's a great toss to lose.

Lords pitches often offer the most assistance on day 1, and the slightly humid conditions today may well add to that. Then we have excellent weather forecasted for teh weekend, and the Lords pitches aren't traditionally ones you worry about batting last on. If anything, we've seen them go flat and slow by day 5, making batting quite easy.

Assitance from pitch and weather conditions on day 1, help us to get a strong hold on the game, followed by us batting for 2 days in prime conditions is probably our best chance of setting up a winning position. Put us in and have us 3 down by lunch in swinging conditions, and teh series would have been over.

Enough bowling options to bowl them out twice?

agree with that, no point if they get 500 runs in first innings when we finally bowl them out. Would have gone with 5 Bowlers as potentially Bresan would get more runs than Bairstow anyway

Finn gets Petersen... good catch from Matt Prior down the leg side. 49-2

Just a suggestion his hand may have been off the bat handle when it hit the glove... but no review??
