for all the positives - and who can say there isnt when we dominate a game and put a team under so much pressue - two things irritate and maybe affecting the ability to get an end product:
1. strikers playing in midfield. not Rooney, thats where hes supposed to be, but Sturridge now Kane have been too deep too often, while several midfilders advance of them.
2. the incessent habit to cut inside, even when clear through to the byline and the full back beat. wtf is it all about are they drilled in it so much they dont even try to the byline cross? a ball pinged in from there and strong chance of a own goal if nothing else.

Why not just play your best team, every game. Save the rotation for friendlies. Would BHAFC ever put out a second string in a league game? Why do it in an international tournament?

We are all disappointed however we have numerous very average Premiership players in our team and squad. How many world or European class players have we actually got? A couple of potentials but not much more. Too many players getting in because of the team they play for rather than their performance over the season

We have failed to beat Slovakia. We have finished behind Wales in the group. Another low point on the misery of supporting England

I'm not convinced we passed it sideways and backwards enough.
