Isn't that date going to clash with the Champions League final?

Actually just checked and that's the week before.

Wembley will be raking it in, FA Cup Final, England v Scotland then the playoff finals. I hope it isn't another wet spell, the pitch will get destroyed

Another big thankyou to Barwick for arranging the game all of Britain wants to see. I am very much looking forward to it, after the Scots recent relative success they really beleive they can beat us, I am looking forward to Cappello and the boys giving those silly jocks a good spanking.

Why would have thought it better to let the players have the summer off than play meaningless friendlies
It's worse than meaningless. The result matters far more than the performance. Friendlies should be played against teams where we'll learn something, try out players, practise formations, etc. A match against Scotland will be 90 minutes of 100mph skill-less football full of 'passion' and 'committment' - i.e. as far removed from modern international football as a Sealed Knot Civil War re-enactment of the Battle of Naseby is from the war in Afghanistan

But you've missed the point it's an opportunity for the FA to make a lot of money.

And what is your take on this slaphead buffoons insistance that Justin Gregory of Havant & Waterlooville miss the Liverpool game through suspension, regardless of the re-arranged game with Thurrock coming before the 4th round tie ?

Or on the decision to "write" to Adebayor to ask him nicely to desist from headbutting team-mates, rather than banning him for violent conduct ?

I think Barwick is a very confused man, of questionable judgement.

NOT CONFIRMED ANYWHERE!

Fans, including me, up here are totally against this fixture and have been trying to disuade the SFA from having anything to do with it.

Apart from the game itself being too easy for England, every idiot will come out from under their rock and london will be more akin to Kabul for the day... and all the hard work done by the SFA, The FA, EnglandFans and the Tartan Army to rid the sport of the idiots will be wasted!

No thanks.
