Another decent performance, 6 wins in a row. We are not world beaters but for the first time for years I think we are on the up. Our young players are miles ahead of the crap of recent years in terms of abilty on the ball and will continue to improve

I think that general skill levels have improved. But that should not take away the abilities of players of that era. They had different footballs and footwear compared to nowadays.

It was a different sport. Horrific pitches and footwear and footballs etc.

Really enjoyed that game. England played with pride and showed at lot of passion when they scored. Everything that has been missing for a few years. You could see it ment a lot for the manager and that has got to rub off on the players. If they can keep this up I may start to look forward to England games again.

Agree with that.

Cahill is quality, but I still don't rate Smalling or Jags.

Clynne looks like he could be the right back we've been waiting for, although not really tested in his two games. Jury's out on shaw, he had a good game tonight, but Scotland offered very little attacking wise.

With Walcott and Sturridge to come back, we have real pace and attacking quality come back in.

I have been saying it for years that if England play like a premier league side with pace and heart we would do so much better and many teams could not live with it. We produced that tonight because we were playing Scotland with a great atmospere.
I know we have won our other games recently but England looked very good tonight.
This could be the very start of a decent squad but a lot of work still to do.

Well done to keep it down to 3-1.....I genuinely feared a total battering, from the most promising bunch of young Englishmen in a generation.
