England start with6 defensive players against the footballing superpower San Marino.

If I was going to watch this game, I’m certainly not now.
We started a PL game with 3 defenders on Saturday, against Newcastle,
Southgate has to go.

Who would you have as his replacement though?

They just did a two minute interview with Southgate on 5 Live and I cracked my head on the kitchen table when I lapsed into unconsciousness.

Near enough anyone.
Eddie Howe, is the main one who springs to mind.
With the present crop of very exciting attacking talent England has produced, how many modern managers would start with that lineup.
Utter crap.

You sound surprised, let’s see how the masterplan unfolds. I think we might win comfortably whatever formation the Palace waistcoat wearing clown goes with

To play devil's advocate though, we probably wouldn't lose to San Marino if we picked 11 goalkeepers to start and played 10 of them outfield. Given that, doesn't it make sense to use the formation we'll be going with when things get tougher so that everyone in the squad is used to it? It's not like we train together daily like a league club.

I'm going to watch anyway. I'm still an England fan. It would be like not watching Brighton when we're on. It's just possible I'll need prodding at half time though so that my snores don't disturb the kids.
