Wayne Rooney seems to be doing more harm than good, keeps on getting in the way of people as they're about to shoot, so that he can have another shot ignoring a great 1-2 run so he can turn and try to score himself, bringing the ball inside rather than playing the middle man and passing the ball on to the wing. He seems determined to score for himself to the detriment of the team.

Seems to have been a thing in the build up. England winning is such a foregone conclusion that people are bringing up the old 'there should be a pre-qualification qualification to have fewer one-sided matches. I imagine part of that is a similar argument to the "too many friendlies" with clubs driving the calls for it.
