Heskey is def the best foil for Rooney though some of his play is a little frustrating. It depends if you want a good foil for Rooney or go with someone who won't be as good a foil (Defoe / Crouch) but will have more goal scoring threat themselves... It's a difficult one...

I hate to say it, but Defoe looks every bit as unconvincing as Heskey, and he's our main pacey alternative.

those horns are doing my head in already

Vuvuzelas - the main thing that seriously put me off going to this tournament.

In saying that, a lack of commentator on the BBC site probably makes it sound much worse than it will be during the World Cup itself.

I can't tell you how much I'm hoping these wasp trumpets don't become commonplace in English football grounds next season.

Only in your mind.... ofcourse everyone wants him to do well.

Except even when he DOES play well you still slag him off.

He was EXCELLENT in the Walcott hattrick game against Croatia, don't you agree?

- Would have been great if Heskey nodded in that goal (for his confidence as well as ours!)

- Would love to see Barry on for Cole for last 10 minutes

Yes. That was his last good performance though much like Walcotts.

Look no one wants England to do well more than me, I shall be cheering hard for Heskey eveytime he plays for England. I really hope he has a fantastic world cup and scores 4 or 5 goals.

If he does we will make the final.

i was watching on sky sports news, and commentary is not helping out in the slightest
