If Owen's fit then I'd drop Gerrard to the bench (IMO Lampard and Gerrard don't play well together) and revert back to a 4-4-2 with Owen and Crouch up front.

Jenas would fall out of the match squad.

I think they will take Rooney unless they are told he is going to be out for the whole tournament.

Having seen Defoe play for England I would not have him near the squad. Never looks up. At least Vassell used to score the odd goal for his country.
