It’s C4. What do you expect?
I had to shake my head when I heard that and just thought, oh well the rules must have changed again and I’ve got catching up to do.
Disappointing but I thought the ref/var got both the penalty and offside side goal decisions correct, and prob Kane’s booking (for dangling his leg).
Thought he could have been a bit stronger on Malta’s fouls.
Absolutely agree it was the correct decision. Kane made a career of kicking it past players and diving while leaving a leg in and kicking a goalie or defender. It is cheating.

That's what record goalscorer Harry Kane has made his career on?
It was a bit tongue in cheek but yes. Throughout his career he has been an absolute expert in conning referees to get pens. Especially in the premier league. The hang leg out and his specialist move which should have been patented of backing into a player in the air and throwing himself to the floor thus risking serious injury to opponents. I still can’t believe he got that pen against us when he tried to break Adam L’s neck. Shocking.

The irony of all this is that with all his penalty practice he choked at the big moment in the World Cup and sent our chances into orbit.

Apart from all the one he did score
True but less pressure at that point in the match as the clock was not ticking. Maybe I would forgiven him if he had not already cost us a World Cup through selfishness previously. He scores loads of goals in qualifiers vs crap teams though so it’s all good.

We should be careful not to be holier than thou about this. Kane is the best at it for sure, but over the years, we have had players who do similar things, perhaps just not as well as Kane. I think Mitoma tries it quite a lot by the way he twists and turns in the box, and tries to draw a foul,JP has definitely got at least one penalty for us this season trying it, and Connolly was desperate to fall over in the box given the opportunity. He may have been watching Murray in training.

Apart from the world cup golden boot
And the winner in euro semis
He is a great striker. I just find it so disappointing that he is such a shocking diver. Yes about a third of his England goals have come as penalties and yes he has scored a ridiculous number of goals vs terrible sides. But he has scored four goals vs the Germans which is decent (two of which from open play).

No one can take the golden boot from him but let’s be honest it is a perfect example of my point about stats padding.

Two goals vs Tunisia
Hat trick vs Panama
Pen vs Colombia

Failed to score in the last 3 matches vs proper oppo.

The golden boot was impressive.

I hate diving and will call out our players for doing it too. And I will lose my head if one of our players tries the Kane signature move. This sort of stuff.

I really can't see how they think Adam fouled him, at no point did Kane look at the ball, he deliberately took Adam out, as with the other examples they showed, and could have caused him a serious injury. So glad he can't injury any players in the EPL for a while.

Kane is an exceptional player, but he is also a cheat. Simply one of the best finishers we have ever seen, and an underrated passer, it is such a shame that he is such a massive cheat, because that is exactly what he is and a sometimes dangerous one at that

Thanks for volunteering - I say grab your boots and do it, you couldn’t play worse than this lot.
I emailed the FA with your suggestion. They replied with :
'Thank you for your email. Your feedback is important to us. We will endeavour to read your email and reply within our service level agreement of ten working days. As Gareth Southgate is still here, that means three months at best or more likely never'.

They're right. In rugby you would be sent off for that. Basically taking out a player who has started a move and has no safe landing if impeded.

It's a red card.

While I agree that Kane’s signature move is both illegal and dangerous, rugby is a different game with different rules. I’ve no idea why people on here keep comparing the two sports. You wouldn’t compare football to water polo or hockey, would you?

Nevertheless, that was a stone wall penalty in the first half. Looking back on it though he deserved the yellow for an absolutely criminal first touch. When the keeper gives you it there you should be scoring from open play.

Absolutely, he should be dropped

He is only scoring against the teams he's playing against, he should be doing more in scoring against teams in other groups as well.

It's disgusting how he has never scored against Brazil in a qualification group

The fact he's not the all time English Goal scorer in finals and doesn't have a golden boot from a World Cup backs uphe only scores in qualifiers.... o wait.

He's far and away the best forward in the world currently.

How can it be a dive when the keeper has clearly smashed his leg?

I genuinely can’t comprehend how anyone can say it’s a dive, why should Kane move his planted foot to avoid a reckless goalkeeper smashing through his leg? Since when has the onus been on the player being tackled to avoid contact. People let their dislike of a player cloud their judgment.
