Welcome to your England thread where @Sheebo and I support the national team we’ve followed since young childhood and everyone else moans about Southgate or pretends to be walking the dog.

Anyway, having said that, tonight’s starting XI is the most Southgate like I’ve ever seen. Three at the back or Tomori at left back? I’m going for the former.

Should have enough for Malta even with Jordan Henderson playing.

Lovely instinctive finish by the Malta defender

Jordan Henderson is winning his 81st England cap.

He's made 13 appearances for Al-Ettifaq this season who are seventh in the Saudi Pro League.

You're criticising Sir Gareth Southgate and that's not allowed. Sit on your hands to let the happy clappers clap theirs for Sir Gareth's England.

Getting booed again though, which is amusing. Doubtless Sir Gareth will be moaning again later on.

Yes, sorry about that.

England to romp their way to the Euros with a tactical genius at the helm who's sought after by every Premier League chairman.

I really like maltesers but will still be hoping Ingerlund win.
Despite my obvious loathing of all things English and this being totally boring.
Lols Kane.
