[Football] England v Kosovo 7.45 tonight @ St Mary's (capacity 32,505)

Nobody is doubting Kane's class.
He's clearly England's best (classiest) striker.
He has been for a while.
He will be for sometime going forward.

I will even go so far as to say were he to sign for the Albion even we would struggle to make him shitehouse.
Praise doesn't get much higher than that.
That scans terribly.

They could have sat back and defended like Bulgaria did, that worked well. Playing like this every game has enabled them to get to where they are now.

Exactly and if we keep playing like we did at the Etihad we should have enough to win the points to keep us up, with the occasional entertaining thrashing on the way too.

Which defenders would get near those three?

Plus it’s harder to score/create

Beckenbauer, Maldini, Moore.

Keepers ? I think Zoff was the best I saw.

'Old Wembley' was far from beautiful, it was a ramshackle old khazi by the time they knocked it down. Although I do wish they'd somehow found a way to keep those iconic twin towers.

Agree, some people are stuck with nostalgia tinted specs on.

He’s scored against every PL side his ever played against.

15 or so CL goals

Scored against Barca/Real/Dortmund/Juve

But a flat track bully

He's gone away to France, Germany, Scotland - all the old enemies - and scored, plus the Golden Boot in Russia at the WC. There's not much more he can do individually, if he stays fit he'll break Rooney's record, he could potentially even match Greaves's 6 hat-tricks which is an incredible stat.

I think that's the point Bold is making.

Praise doesn't get much higher than that.

He has plenty of time and games ahead of him where he can be that difference, the player that carries a team on his back, to greatness.
If he does all the 'world class' plaudits will be well earned and rightly deserved.

But he's got to do it first.

Yes SB, I won't shoot you in the back ever again.
